Becoming a Cosmetologist, Barber, Nail Tech, and Esthetician

People drawn to the beauty industry are searching to maintain and enhance everyone’s natural beauty, whether by using natural, clean beauty products derived from nature or more complex, effective, and highly concentrated high-technology beauty products. If you love flipping through beauty and fashion magazines and experimenting and perfecting beauty techniques, consider enrolling in an approved cosmetology program.

Cosmetology trade schools teach students the basics of color theory, chemistry, styling and cutting techniques, and customer relations while appropriately transitioning to more advanced techniques. Aspiring cosmetologists will also touch on popular beauty treatments, facials, nails, waxing, and brows. Once instructors deem students ready to dip their toes into practicing on something other than mannequins, students will learn how to apply their newfound techniques in popular beauty treatments and even laser treatments to their peers, supervised by instructors. Most cosmetology schools have salons on campus so students can access real clients and practice in an actual salon setting.

The public often books appointments with students regularly, so students learn to build relations, retain clients and learn how to consult each client while under the guidance of their instructors. Evergreen Beauty College is unique because we encourage students to exchange their business cards with customers to build a client base while in school.

Schedule a Campus Tour

If beauty is your passion, why not make a career out of it? Schedule a tour of one of our campuses to learn about the many programs we offer. On a campus tour, students will have the opportunity to meet the staff, see other students work and interact on the campus, and tour the salon and facilities. Our team diligently works hard to make incoming and current students’ time at Evergreen as effortless and rewarding as possible. You could start building a career in the industry you love today!
