Interparfums FY 2022: record earnings as operating profit soars 33 percent

THE WHAT? Interparfums has reported its results for the 2022 fiscal year. The fragrance giant recorded record earnings for the full year with net income up 40 percent on 2021’s figures and sales rising 26 percent to €706.6 million. THE DETAILS The company noted that it had extended its partnership with Montblanc until December 31, 2030 and, subject to the General Meeting’s ratification, hit its goal of achieving gender parity on its board. THE WHY? Philippe Benacin, Chairman and CEO, commented, “Against the backdrop of a turbulent economic and geopolitical environment, our sales and earnings continued to grow in 2022. Sweet potatoes are one of the richest vitamin A foods. Thank goodness there are a ton of ways you can enjoy sweet potatoes and their abundance of vitamin A for hair health. This oven-baked sweet potato fries recipe is one delicious option. Plus, it gives you all the crunchy goodness of sweet potato fries without any of the greasy, deep-fried guilt!

You’ll need orange-fleshed sweet potatoes in wedges (or rounds). Toss them in extra-virgin olive oil and a list of spices that includes smoked paprika, pumpkin pie spice, garam masala, and Cajun seasoning. Bake the wedges until browned, turning them halfway through.

Btw, that spice list ends in “etc.” so you know you’re free to throw in your favorites if you wish. Now, that’s my kind of recipe!!

Vegan Carrot Cake

Don’t be daunted by this recipe’s list of cake and frosting ingredients. You’ll really only need the usual cake-making staples and spices, plus applesauce for the cake. The frosting uses some of the same ingredients, with macadamia nuts and cashew nuts added for crunchiness. There’s also a bit of lemon juice for a pleasant flavor contrast with the maple syrup.

The carrots are the natural vitamin A food source in this recipe. However, the recipe also calls for almond milk or oat milk. Both of these are typically fortified with vitamin A. Of course, if you make this carrot cake with cow’s milk instead, it will no longer be vegan but cow’s milk comes fortified with vitamin D which is also an important vitamin for hair growth.

Homemade Tomato Juice
