We are in week 4, yes you read that correctly, a whole month has passed since we have embarked on the book club portion of Nikki’s weekly meditation group. If you haven’t had the chance to join in yet, trust and believe you are missing out on some impactful ish... Just saying.
You know I can be long winded, so as previously promised... I will keep it short!
Say What Now?
I’m usually on the edge of my proverbial seat whenever I am in session with Nikki because I never know what to expect. My notebook is open and ready to capture whatever gems that come out to reflect on later on in the week or in my quiet time. However, this one “Our Job is Love...” gave me a great pause. I have had more than enough of my share of “jobs” in my past. Every one of them after a year, I am highly annoyed, over it, fed up and ready to move on. How many of you can relate to that?
When Nikki said that, it was like a light bulb went off in me. For the last 4 years, I have been at a “job” and every time I wanted to leave, I literally couldn’t. I even went on job interviews at some pretty reputable places... places where I would have made more money, been able to climb the corporate “ladder” and even go back to school for free. Guess what, none of them panned out. When I was leaving one of the job interviews, I literally heard in my spirit the word, “NO”. It was so convincing that I couldn’t even question it. I just knew. When Nikki said, “Our job is love”, I reflected on what has made the difference at this current job I am in. The one thing that has changed with me significantly is my daily spiritual practice has evolved while I have been there. My focus has been my heart space and growing in there. Getting a new job or working in a different place would not change the longing I was experiencing on the inside. Nothing can fix that but the constant acknowledgement of God’s presence in my life. Only then, will I experience the changes I desire on the outside.
Whew.. I am glad I got that all out. Believe me, it was brief because I could have gone on and on and on.
With that said... Check out what Joel Goldsmith has to say about “Supply”. Oh you thought I was going to tell you? Nope you have to check it out for yourself with Nikki on Mondays at 6:30pm!
Love is...
