What is Salicylic Acid?

Salicylic acid is an exfoliant, which means it helps to remove dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. It’s a popular ingredient in many skin care products, especially those designed to treat acne. Salicylic acid works by breaking down the bonds between dead skin cells, so they can be more easily wiped away. It also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, which can help to reduce redness and swelling.

Salicylic acid is a type of beta hydroxy acid (BHA), which is different from alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) like glycolic acid and lactic acid. BHAs are oil-soluble, so they can penetrate deep into your pores and help to clean them out. This makes them especially effective at treating acne and other skin conditions, like blackheads and whiteheads.

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in the human body. It helps to keep your skin hydrated and plump by binding to water molecules and pushing them into the skin cells. That’s why it’s often found in moisturizers, serums, toners, and facial mists. It’s also an excellent choice for those with dry or sensitive skin, as it helps to soothe and protect the skin from irritation. Finally, this ingredient can promote wound healing, reduce inflammation, and protect the skin from free radicals.
