Nubian Heritage African Black Soap

via Organic Spa Magazine by Organic Spa Magazine on 12/18/12

"African Black Soap has been made by women in Africa for centuries. As in the case of Nubian Heritage, the recipe is often handed down from generation to generation. Our African Black Soap is made in the traditional way, utilizing palm ash, plantain peel and other natural and certified organic ingredients, including fair trade shea butter. Black soap removes excess oil, exfoliates and soothes skin irritation, without harsh synthetic ingredients. Plantain extract has natural anti-bacterial properties to help heal breakouts. Shea butter moisturizes skin without clogging pores. African Black Soap has also been used historically to aid in fading dark spots and marks, making it an effective yet gentle alternative to harsh lightening agents, which may leave skin irritated and more sensitive to sun damage." says Christine Keihm, V.P. of Marketing at Nubian Heritage.
