Interparfums FY 2022: record earnings as operating profit soars 33 percent

THE WHAT? Interparfums has reported its results for the 2022 fiscal year. The fragrance giant recorded record earnings for the full year with net income up 40 percent on 2021’s figures and sales rising 26 percent to €706.6 million. THE DETAILS The company noted that it had extended its partnership with Montblanc until December 31, 2030 and, subject to the General Meeting’s ratification, hit its goal of achieving gender parity on its board. THE WHY? Philippe Benacin, Chairman and CEO, commented, “Against the backdrop of a turbulent economic and geopolitical environment, our sales and earnings continued to grow in 2022. I remember starting 2021 with more optimism than I had all through 2020. And while this year has undoubtedly been better than the literal dumpster fire that came before it, it was still trying and exhausting. I won’t go down the laundry list of things that made us want to bury our heads into our pillows (literally), so I’ll just think of the good parts instead. Like baking Ted Lasso’s legendary cookies or finding out that Timothée Chalamet loves espresso martinis just as much as we do. Or these 22 sweet, thoughtful gifts that kept us going this year no matter how mentally or physically tired we all were. And we were.

From meditation apps and workout gear to keep our minds and bodies engaged to cozy throws for lounging about afterward, these were just some of the little joys that we gifted ourselves or were gifted by loved ones. And while we’d appreciate them any year, the gratitude was especially heightened after months of being confined indoors and separated from family, friends, and co-workers.
