Interparfums FY 2022: record earnings as operating profit soars 33 percent

THE WHAT? Interparfums has reported its results for the 2022 fiscal year. The fragrance giant recorded record earnings for the full year with net income up 40 percent on 2021’s figures and sales rising 26 percent to €706.6 million. THE DETAILS The company noted that it had extended its partnership with Montblanc until December 31, 2030 and, subject to the General Meeting’s ratification, hit its goal of achieving gender parity on its board. THE WHY? Philippe Benacin, Chairman and CEO, commented, “Against the backdrop of a turbulent economic and geopolitical environment, our sales and earnings continued to grow in 2022. Bite Beauty Upswing Extreme Longwear Liquid Eyeliner

Bite’s new $25 matte black liquid liner has flower power. (Side note: I just threw up a double-peace sign.) By flower power, I don’t mean in the “Let’s come together and love one another, man!” way. I’m referring to passion fruit flowers.

It’s the not-so-secret ingredient in this “clean” (air quotes) formula to stop smudging, transferring and flaking.

Also, remember when “carbon black” was the hottest thing in eyeliner and mascara? So many products boasted about being “carbon black.” Well, this liner is actually carbon black-free (I’m honestly unsure if that’s a good or bad thing).

The liner has a long wand with a flexible, thin brush, which broke my heart a little when I first saw it because I typically do better with pen-style liners. For whatever reason, they’re just easier for me to hold and easier to execute a wing or a baby kitten flick with. Just a personal preference.

I’m fine using this wand along the lash line, and I can draw thin, precise lines with it there, but when I get out to the wing with it, I’m a mess.
