The holidays are shaping up to look a lot different in 2020, thanks to the whole social distancing thing. But just because you’re not attending as many holiday parties this year doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate the season with festive eye makeup looks at home. The holidays are the perfect occasion to play with the eye shadows you might not normally wear like glitzy glitters, gilded metallics, and sumptuous jewel tones. Keep scrolling for our favorite eye shadow palettes for holiday looks, whether you’re clinking champagne glasses on Zoom or bingeing Hallmark movies on your couch.

Natasha Denona Gold Palette, $129

Lean into the season with Natasha Denona’s Gold Palette, a permanent collection of 15 eye shadows that are perfect for eye-catching holiday looks. The palette features shades inspired by precious metals (there’s a gold shade for everyone here), plus matching warm browns and jewel tones in Natasha’s unbeatable eye shadow formula.

Wayne Goss The Luxury Eye Palette in Pearl Moonstone, $55

If cool tones are more your speed, don’t sleep on Wayne Goss’s new Pearl Moonstone edition of The Luxury Eye Palette. This six-shade palette was made for glamorous eye looks with three matte shades for smoking out the eyes, two satin shimmers to add dimension, and a teal glitter topper that’s a total showstopper.

Charlotte Tilbury Bejewelled Eyes to Hypnotise, $75

Beginners will love Charlotte Tilbury’s limited edition Bejewelled Eyes to Hypnotise, which gives you everything you need to create four jewel-inspired looks (including step-by-step instructions). The palette is organized into four sets of three shades (Prime, Enhance, and Smoke) to take all of the guesswork out of your holiday eye makeup.

TOM FORD Soleil Neige Eye Color Quad, $88

You can’t go wrong with a classic smoky eye. And after this year, don’t you deserve a Tom Ford palette? (That’s what we’re telling ourselves, anyway.) Inspired by a sunset over freshly fallen snow, the limited edition Soleil Neige Eye Color Quad comes with four shimmer shades—perfect for creating a holiday smoke show.

Givenchy Black to Light Palette, $52

Givenchy really brought it this year with a holiday eye trio destined to make you feel merry and bright. The limited edition Black to Light Palette lets you play with the power of shadow and light, thanks to silver, gunmetal, and pearl-white shades with a lustrous finish. We’re big fans of the way the shades add a glistening veil of shimmer without any chunky glitter—and did we mention the swoon-worthy compact?

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam II, $29

The hotly anticipated followup to the Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette is a holiday goldmine. With six beloved shades from the original Soft Glam (plus two shades from the cult-fave Norvina Pro Pigment Palette), it has the perfect balance of warm and cool tones to earn a spot on everyone’s wish list. Use the muted mattes to create a soft romantic look, or pack on the metallic shades to design something more flashy.

Viseart Spritz EDIT Palette, $39

Viseart’s palette may be inspired by summer’s favorite cocktail (the Aperol Spritz), but we think it’s a shoo-in for the holidays, too. The warm peaches and browns make it easy to stay in your comfort zone, but with the glistening metallics, you can out-sparkle the New Year’s Eve ball. Plus, it’s the perfect size for slipping into your party clutch (even if you are celebrating at home).

Kevyn Aucoin Jewel Pop Face & Eye Palette, $59

Talk about a palette that does it all. This collection is stacked with essential shades for eyes and cheeks, from the perfect jewel-toned metallic shadows to everyone’s favorite Sculpting Powder for chiseled cheekbones. This is one holiday purchase that you’ll be reaching for all year long.
